Full Journal pdf1997-04-15 Senate Journal Page 1146 SB 150 SENATE BILL NO. 150 An Act relating to moving expenses of state employees, to compensatory time for state employees, and to calculation of compensation for the public employees retirement system was read the second time. Senator Pearce moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Rules Committee Substitute offered on page 1144. Senator Duncan objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objections, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 150(RLS) was adopted and read the second time. Senator Duncan offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 2, line 19, following "may": Insert "shorten, in advance in writing, the time that a certified peace officer is required to stay in the new location to avoid the repayment obligation under this section and may" Page 2, following line 30: Insert a new subsection to read: "(d) In this section, "transfers voluntarily" means a transfer, either at the request of the employee or the employer, that the employee is free to decline without incurring adverse consequences regarding the employee's compensation, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment." Senator Duncan moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Pearce objected, then withdrew her objection. There being no further objections, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. Senator Duncan offered Amendment No. 2 : 1997-04-15 Senate Journal Page 1147 SB 150 Page 1, line 1: Delete "," Insert "and" Page 1, line 2: Delete ", and to calculation of compensation for the public employees retirement system" Page 3, lines 7 - 20: Delete all material. Senator Duncan moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 2. Senator Pearce objected. The question being: Shall Amendment No. 2 be adopted?
